Hi All, Kristen here!

I'm a mom to two active young boys, MacEwan and Corbin. I'm married to the most amazing husband ever, Tony who is my rock and number one support. The boys keep us busy running from sport to sport and event to event and we wouldn't have it any other way.

I cherish great friends and belly laughs and feel there is no better ab workout than laughing until you cry.

I absolutely love working at Orangetheory Fitness even though it means getting up at 3:45am some mornings. Interesting fact, I had never had a cup of coffee in my life until I started working those 5am classes. They are now my favorite classes to teach and coffee is consumed daily, (I take one cream in case you were wondering)!! lol

WHAT DO YOU BURN FOR?

I burn for me, my mental and physical well being so I can be the best mom, coach and wife possible.

WHAT'S YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE? 

I love popcorn and would eat it every day if I could. 

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE OTF EXERCISE?

Anything involving the hamstrings... deadlifts or ab dolly hamstring curls.  

I am a 40 something mother of two that leads by example when it comes to health and fitness. I personally underwent a drastic lifestyle change 17 years ago. I embraced the fitness LIFESTYLE becoming physically active, quitting smoking and eliminating my unhealthy eating habits. From that time on I have been immersed in the fitness industry as a personal trainer, yoga instructor and pro fitness competitor.

Whether I am training clients or challenging myself with a workout, I LOVE everything about fitness! My goal is to show others that with a little dedication, determination and planning anyone can improve their health and become physically fit. Ensuring workouts are safe, enjoyable and empowering is my #1 priority. One of the reasons I love coaching at Orangetheory is that the workouts are just that, and I get to motivate everyone to their fullest potential each and every class.

WHAT DO YOU BURN FOR?

I burn for my kids, I want to keep up with them and they just keep getting faster!!

WHAT'S YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE?


My guilty pleasure is I love to eat, especially PIZZA and anything chocolate!!

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE OTF EXERCISE?


My favorite OTF exercise is ROW ROW ROW baby! Best total body exercise around!

Firstly, I am a mom of two gorgeous and active mini me’s (Avery and Reese) that keep me on my toes and the reason I have grey hair! I can add wine specialist, food preparation officer and fight club mediator to my repertoire.
I once heard someone say that a person will have 10 different careers in their life. I am working on #4 and from what I have gathered so far, each one has involved teaching. I LOVE teaching…in all forms. I started my career journey by taking a Bachelor of Education; took a sharp right turn half way through and decided to get my Personal Training Diploma. A quick opportunity lead me to teach English abroad for 2 years. After returning home and becoming a nurse I have learned more about my strengths and challenges through teaching others than any other course of action.
I have a passion for movement and motivation!! As YOUR coach, I’m Sorry/Not sorry for challenging your limits (in good form of course). I can tell you with 100% certainty that I have a genuine interest in your success! I am also “that mom” on the soccer field…you know, the one who is active, lively and animated on the sidelines.
I will complete one of my bucket list “to-do” of Skydiving this summer. The thrill seeker in me always seems to be pushing the boundaries of my fears. Although I have a fear of heights, the novelty of jumping out of a perfectly good airplane is oddly intriguing to me. The bottom line is, the fears we don’t face seem to paralyze us. We should feel the fear but then do it anyway.

I burn for the energy to keep up with my kids, self accomplishment and sleeping like a baby!
WHAT'S YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE?
My guilty pleasure is chocolate...any and all!!

My favorite OTF exercise is the plank low row.

HEART MONITORED TRAINING

 

Backed by the science of post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), our heart-rate monitored training is designed to keep heart rates in a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy. Our clients burn an estimated 500 to 1000 calories per workout. We are 5 zone heart-rate interval training.

COACH SUPPORT

 

Working out in a group provides accountability and structure to help achieve fitness goals. You are more likely to get a great workout and better results from the well-rounded movements and pace direction you get in a group setting. The session motivates each other to pick up the pace and reach beyond plateaus. People who workout in groups stick to their goals more consistently than those that workout alone.
